I think the sobe5 idea is nice, but I doubt that anything will really change with sobe5? Why do you think that?

If you ask this question, then it contains something very important: Namely, you yourself probably think that something must necessarily change, but you currently assume that people are not yet ready for this kind of change. You may be right, but are you sure about that yourself?

My answer to your question is therefore: It may well be that „perhaps“ nothing will change with sobe5. However, I am quite sure that without sobe5 „for sure“ nothing will change. Remember, every person who makes a positive change in any way, or develops positively from the start, strengthens our society. Every conversation that conveys that kindness and helpfulness are important qualities and every sentence that makes people think about themselves is important and will make society smarter and more social in the long run.

Any child who comes into contact with sobe5 and understands and can live by the contents of the five principles will certainly lead a more fulfilling life than children who have never heard about social behavior in their social environment and grow up in a corresponding environment. Can you agree with this?

The people who already don’t adhere to the sobe5 principles won’t adhere to any principles with sobe5 either, will they?

That’s exactly what everyone can decide for themselves in the end. But by defining good behavior so precisely, bad behavior becomes all the more visible. That’s worth something too, isn’t it? In the same way, one can distance oneself from what one does not want for oneself and explain this distancing on the basis of the sobe5 principles. These explanations are then not of religious nature (some people have problems to accept other religions) but are only based on universal basic needs. These basic needs, such as peace, freedom and the right to education, should be something that all people can agree on, right? But if you don’t want that, you can decide that for yourself.

Is there really a chance that sobe5 can be taught in schools?

The school system in our country is so ramshackle, bad and so outdated that it would really be time to teach a subject like „sobe5“ or „applied social behavior“ and instead teach some other subjects completely differently or even banish them from the school day altogether. Since I also know the structures of the school authorities quite well from years of my own experience, I know that such a subject will probably remain a utopia.

There are far too many people in the authorities who have made themselves comfortable, who have no desire to make any decisions, who move very slowly and who are certainly not committed to anything that is „new“. Beamte die wiederrum Beamte steuern, das kann nicht gut gehen und wird sich auf allen Fälle als zuerst ändern müssen, wollen wir sobe5 als Lehrfach sehen.

The answer to this question must therefore unfortunately be: No, in the near future I see no chance that sobe5 will be taught in schools. To do this, we would first have to revolutionize all existing school structures.

However, it would perhaps be sufficient if sobe5 were hung on the walls in the form of posters showing the five principles and if these posters were present in many places and in many schools. If you keep reading good things, you’ll eventually come up with good ideas yourself.

Why is it actually better to be good than evil?

This is not an easy question to answer, and there are many possible answers. Without getting too philosophical here, however, there is a very simple reason in the first place: A society can only function in its entirety if people are well-disposed towards each other. One helps the other, together you build things, together you protect yourself and your families, etc. Destructive behavior diminishes trust, stirs up fears and leads to the isolation of individuals, families and thus entire societies. A peaceful society can therefore only thrive if people in it behave in an equally peaceful and social, i.e. „good“, manner.

sobe5 does not make sense to me. What is the advantage of writing down these universal sentences and then calling them sobe5?

If you think that the sobe5 principles are universal, then you are sadly mistaken. Look at your environment: How many people around you adhere to the five principles? If everyone adhered to it, there would certainly be no wars, murders, criminals and acts of violence. Fraud, selfish actions, self-enrichment at the expense of others could have long been a thing of the past. But back to your question: have you really seen these sentences standing together in this form, or are you just guessing? Parts of it somewhere for sure, or sentences that are similar to sobe5’s maybe. And then they came from Budhism or Christianity or where else? We do not need principles of coexistence „floating somewhere in the air“, but very clearly defined announcements that define good behavior, which are then interpreted by each person a little differently, but on the whole lead in the right direction. This direction is called: Act sustainably, holistically and with a big heart.

I think sobe5 is great, how can I help?

If you would like sobe5 to spread, you can, perhaps with your friends, make sobe5 known on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or WhatsApp, etc. You can find the corresponding buttons on every sobe5 page. Maybe something great will automatically result from redistribution.

Likewise, we should translate sobe5 into many other languages. Anyone who can help here is very welcome. Of course, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Russian would be very important.
